Functional Description
The TLAD0110G is a 10 Gbits/s current driver
designed to drive a DFB laser. When driving a DFB
laser, each output buffer contributes 60 mA of drive
current. The actively-matched terminations also
reduce reflections and overshoot. The TLAD0110G
can also supply 120 mA of laser pre-bias current.
On-die sense resistors allow monitoring and control
of both the modulation depth and the pre-bias cur-
rent. A 2.5 V band-gap reference is required for sta-
ble operation over temperature and voltage supply
variation. An external op-amp is also required for the
output buffer common mode control.
