DUAL MODE 10GBASE-LX4 AND 10GBASE-CX4
TRANSCEIVER FOR ETHERNET AND FIBRE CHANNEL
WHAT IT GIVES YOU:
An optimal solution for
10GBASE-LX4 modules. An
advantage for 10GBASE-CX4
applications by extending the
link reach to 30m. An
integrated solution for
backplanes.
WHAT IT DOES:
The QT2044 integrates four
parallel 3.125 to 3.1875 Gb/s
transmit and receive lanes
into a single chip. Each lane
includes receiver
equalization, advanced clock
and data recovery,
performance monitoring and
XAUI lane to lane de-skew.

The integrated limiting
amplifier (LA) on the network
side eliminates the need for
an external amplifier.

To allow easy access to
control and status of the chip
and the module, the QT2044
includes a XENPAK / XPAK /
X2 MSA compliant EEPROM
interface and register set, and
a glueless DOM interface.

Superior jitter performance
ensures the integrity of the
transmission and reduces
BER. Programmable pre-
emphasis and receive
equalization are included to improve the link
reach and compensate for ISI.

Fully integrated test features enable quick
evaluation and faster time to market. Loopback
modes are available to facilitate lab and system
diagnostics. PC-based GUI available for
graphical MDIO access.
