Mode of Operation
Max./min. control of charg-
ing/discharging (selectable on
front).
Charging
The relay operates when the
level drops below the min. level
sensor (Y3). The relay releases
if the level reaches the max.
level sensor (Y2). The refer-
ence (additional electrode or
container of conductive mate-
riel) is connected to Y1.
Discharging
The relay operates when the
level reaches the max. level
sensor (Y2), if the min. level
sensor (Y3) is in contact with
the liquid. The relay releases
when the min. level sensor no
longer is in contact with the
liquid. The reference (addi-
tional electrode or container
of conductive material) is con-
nected to Y1.
Single-level sensing
The ELA level control relay is
also usable for single level
detection. In this case the sen-
sor is connected to Y2/Y3 (Y2
and Y3 interconnected). The
sensitivity will be halved.
Multi-level sensing
If more than two levels are
required, up to four amplifiers
can be coupled in parallel. Y1
(common) and Y4 (clock in/
out) on all systems must be
interconnected. Furthermore,
on all slave units Y5 must be
connected to Y1. Depending
upon the distance between
the units it may be necessary
to use shielded or twisted
cable.
Level Setting
Setting of level on absolute
scale, 5-100 k
.
For single-level sensing (Y2
& Y3 interconnected) the
sensitivity is 2.5 to 50 k
.
