The NW812 from Divio enables a complete high-quality low-cost
VGA PCAM solution with integrated Audio A/D. The NW812
integrates a VGA resolution video engine based on Divio's patented
JPEG-LiteTM technology, high-fidelity audio A/D, Gold certified
USB, and direct interface to low-cost CMOS sensors, for a
complete A/V PCAM solution. PCAMs based on the NW812
capture both video and audio, and deliver a synchronized data
stream over a single USB cable.
The NW812 JPEG-LiteTM video compression engine provides
real-time VGA 12.5 fps performance and includes all necessary
camera functions including image processing, auto exposure, auto
white balancing, color space conversion, missing pixel interpolation,
and dynamic bit-rate control. Dynamic bit-rate control automatically
adjusts the camera's video compression rate to guarantee the best
quality video under any given condition.
To simplify implementation and reduce time to market, a NW812
PCAM Reference Design is available directly from Divio. The
NW812 Reference Design includes a complete hardware schematic,
Windows driver software, and documentation. The NW812
Reference Design is Microsoft WHQL certified, and USB-IF
Gold certified.
