This supplement refers to the DSP register "FM Fixed Deemphasis" (address: 000F

hex

)

and is valid for all 0.5/0.45 µ MSP 34xxD versions:

MSP 3410/3400D-C5,

MSP 3415/3405D-B3, and

MSP 3417/3407D-B2.

1. The FM-deemphasis "J17" is no longer available for these ICs.

2. If "J17" is selected, the 75 µs deemphasis will be active.

3. In order to avoid any misunderstandings, please note that the obligatory J17-deemphasis for NICAM will of course

continue to be available.
